Bohemians Abroad

Bohos as a group love to celebrate, to explore, and to meet new people. This section of the site will feature:

Festivals:  From Burning Man to Solstice in the Square to Carnival, we'll give you an intro to all sorts of fests and gatherings, as well as advice and useful links.

Destinations:  Want more from Ireland than a visit to the Guinness brewery?  Looking for the greener, gentler side of Philly?  We'll help you find it.

Celebrations:  Mainstream holidays like Christmas and Halloween are pretty cool - and we'll give tips on celebrating them bohemian style. But we'll also check out some lesser-known days to mark, like St. John's eve, Imbolc, and even Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Pennsic is the Society for Creative Anachronism's largest annualSamurai with a plastic cup. event.  It's kind of like a Renn faire meets the drama and history departments of a university meets a really rockin' pub meets a horrible frat party.  The challenge is that the pub and the frat party both move, and you have to find the former and flee the latter...  The joy is in the contradictions.
